NYC BID Day 2025: $40M Invested to Power Local Business Corridors
On May 6, 2025, New York City celebrated its third annual Business Improvement District (BID) Day by highlighting the remarkable progress and continued investment in small businesses and neighborhood corridors. The city announced that since 2022, over $40 million has been invested in BIDs and Community-Based Development Organizations (CBDOs), with fresh grants issued this year. Small BID Grants Make Big Impact
This year, 45 small BIDs received up to $100,000 each to fund staffing, planning, and commercial revitalization projects. An additional $800,000 in BID Formation Grants was awarded to groups establishing or expanding BID operations. These funds help power safety patrols, graffiti cleanup, marketing events, and beautification.
The newly created Cypress Hills Fulton BID joins 75 existing districts, now totaling 76 BIDs citywide.
